Alipay+ ISO POSM Deployment Program

Applicable to: Independent Sales Organization (ISO) for Alipay+ Cross-border Travel Business

Applicable scenario: The ISO deploys Alipay+ POSM (Point of Sale Materials) in offline stores that support Alipay+ e-wallets (including Alipay) payment, and the stores are located outside of the Chinese mainland. When the ISO follows the POSM deployment policy to deploy the POSM and upload the deployment information, the ISO is eligible to obtain the POSM deployment fee after the deployment information is approved by Alipay+. For the deployed POSM, the ISO can obtain marketing incentives when new users scan the QR code on the POSM for the first time and log in to the Coupon or Alipay+ Rewards page.

Service Fees: The service fees include the POSM deployment fees, marketing incentives, and spot inspection fees.

  • POSM Deployment Fees

ISOs may sign up for this program by accepting the Alipay+ Online Services Agreement for POSM Deployment (including the POSM Deployment Policy for ISOs).

A participating ISO shall deploy the Alipay+ POSM to offline stores supporting Alipay+ wallet payments in accordance with Alipay's requirements and provide its deployment records and relevant information to Alipay for verification.

Upon Alipay's approval (subject to successful random/spot inspections), the ISO will receive a one-time POSM deployment fee. The amount of deployment fees varies by country or region based on specific market conditions of a country or region.

  • Marketing Incentives

In addition to POSM deployment and spot inspection fees, the ISO may receive certain marketing incentives when customers scan the QR codes on the Alipay+ POSMs that are deployed by the ISO in the store. The ISO is encouraged to visit the stores frequently to ensure that the Alipay+ POSMs are posted in the prominent spots at the stores in order to receive the maximum marketing incentives.

Marketing incentives are awarded to ISOs in accordance with the following rules:

    1. Monthly marketing incentives for each QR code: number of valid scans (i.e. new users only) x RMB 3.
    2. Maximum monthly marketing incentives for each QR code: RMB 300.
    3. Maximum number of valid scans per month: 30 scans per user.
    4. For the purpose of calculating marketing incentives, multiple scans of the same QR code by the same user will only be counted once during a promotion period.
  • Spot Inspection Fee (Applicable to select ISOs only)

Alipay will authorize certain ISOs to conduct spot inspections on the POSM deployments done by other ISOs at selected stores or locations (to be assigned by Alipay). These authorized ISOs are required to conduct spot inspections on the deployment and presentation of the POSMs in accordance with the POSM Deployment Policy and perform payment acceptance tests with the tools provided by Alipay.

The amount of spot inspection fees varies by country or region based on specific market conditions of a country or region. The spot inspection fees shall be in accordance with the price set out in each order as agreed by the parties.

Notes:

  1. The total monthly service fee (including the POSM deployment fees, spot inspection fees, and marketing incentives) for each ISO shall not exceed RMB 500,000 (or equivalent in other currencies).
  2. Stores listed in Appendix I are not eligible for any service fee; they are not part of this program.
  3. The service fee currency shall be the settlement currency provided by the ISO during registration. The settlement rate shall be based on the exchange rate when the statement is generated.
  4. Calculation of service fees shall be based on Alipay's record.
  5. The statement of the service fee in a given month is generated on the 15th business day of the following month. Each ISO can view the statement on the ISO platform and, after uploading the corresponding invoices, the payment will be processed within fifteen (15) business days upon successful verification of the uploaded invoices.
  6. Illicit activities (such as fraudulent orders, excessive POSM deployed in the same store, or deploying the same POSM in stores where such materials have already been placed) are strictly prohibited. Any such violations will result in termination of contract and any accrued service fees will not be settled. Alipay also reserves the right to recover damages from the ISO (as stated in the Alipay+ Online Services Agreement for POSM Deployment).
  7. The stores where POSM are deployed must be real and valid stores that support Alipay+ wallet payments (including Alipay China (支付宝)). Alipay reserves the right to conduct on-site store inspections before settlement. Alipay will not settle the service fee with the ISO for any failed inspection. If the failure rate is more than 30%, the ISO must make the necessary corrections. Once the corrections are made and Alipay is satisfied with the corrections, the corresponding service fees will be settled. Examples of failed POSM deployments:
    1. Stores that have no Alipay+ POSM deployed;
    2. Stores where the POSM is not deployed according to the POSM deployment policy; or
    3. Stores that have the POSM but are unable to complete payment verification.
