Figure 4. The Alipay+ Tap to Pay service activation workflow

The Alipay+ Tap to Pay activation workflow consists of the following steps:

  1. The consumer activates the Alipay+ Tap to Pay service in the MPP app.
  2. The MPP frontend sends the activation request to the Alipay+ Tap to Pay SDK.
  3. The SDK sends a get token request to the MPP app, which then forwards the request to the MPP backend.
  4. The MPP backend forwards the request to the Ant Server to get the token with UID.
  5. The Ant Server requests a token with UID from Mastercard.
  6. Mastercard generates the token and binds it to the UID, then returns the token to the SDK, which securely stores it.

    • Row 2 - Promo exchange rate: actual rate applied
  • If originalPaymentQuote is empty, display ONE row:
    • Row 1 - Exchange rate: actual rate applied (no promotion, standard display)

Actual rate by wallet type

The value shown as the "Promo exchange rate" depends on whether the wallet charges a surcharge:

Type

When originalPaymentQuote is NOT empty

When originalPaymentQuote is empty

Wallet without a surcharge

  • Exchange rate: originalPaymentQuote
  • Promo exchange rate: paymentQuote
  • Exchange rate: paymentQuote

Wallet with a surcharge

  • Exchange rate: originalPaymentQuote
  • Promo exchange rate: surchargeQuote
  • Exchange rate: surchargeQuote

Note: For wallets with a surcharge, surchargeQuote already includes the wallet surcharge in addition to the promotional rate, and therefore represents the actual rate charged to the user.
